Dear fellow Harvard Law School alumna/alumnus,
On behalf of myself and my Board, welcome to the Harvard Law School Association of Europe!
One of the first pieces of advice I received at the beginning of my studies at the Harvard Law School was that the time would go by fast, and I needed to make the most of my experience in Cambridge. It was an extraordinary time indeed- not only academically, but also culturally, socially, gastronomically, travel-wise, and in many other ways. Although I was proud to graduate from the Harvard Law School, it felt bittersweet as the Commencement also marked the end of the most memorable time of my life and meant I had to say goodbye to dear friends.
The founders of the Harvard Law School Association of Europe in 1965 must have felt the same desire to prolong that extraordinary law school experience and continue the friendships they had started in Cambridge. For almost 60 years since that time, the HLSAE unites over 3,000 alumnae and alumni from all over Europe and brings its members together every year at the much-anticipated Annual Reunion with a number of cultural, social, and academic highlights. The Association also organizes a number of events throughout the year providing a unique platform for its members to stay in touch and exchange knowledge, experience, and views on topics of common interest.
Whether you are a recent graduate or have received your HLS degree years ago, I strongly encourage you to sign up for the HLSAE emails, join our events and, most importantly, not miss out on opportunities to reunite with “old” HLS friends, start new friendships and experience the joy of being together and interacting with one another.
We look forward to meeting you!
