Dear fellow Alumni and Alumnae,
On behalf of the Harvard Law School Association of Europe, we are delighted to invite you to the 2021 HLSAE Annual Meeting – delivered online via Zoom.
This year’s Annual Meeting will start with a General Assembly to give you an update on the status of our Association, to hear from our HLSAE Scholarship holder Dan Vlad Druta LL.M. ’20, to report on our plans for the 2022 Annual Meeting in Berlin, and to elect the next HLSAE President. For the Academic Session, we are extremely delighted to welcome back HLS Prof. Holger Spamann, LL.M. ’01, S.J.D. ’09 (whom you will remember from our Annual Meeting 2013 in Amsterdam), who will give a presentation on “Judges in the Lab”, followed by an HLS Campus Report and a Q&A session. Finally, you will have the opportunity to catch-up with one another and mix & mingle in several break-out sessions.

Donations for the HLSAE Scholarship Fund 2021/22
I would like to take this opportunity to also remind you of the HLSAE Scholarship Fund that helps one or two students from Central or Eastern Europe defray part of their tuition fees. As our cancelled Annual Meetings mean that there are no profits and donations deriving from the annual meeting surplus or donations made in connection with the annual meetings, I would like to call upon each of you to support our tradition of giving to those in need, even without an in-person annual meeting this year. We would highly appreciate any contribution that you could spare these days.
